National Level Social Science textbooks are virtually blank on NER

For most peole in 'mainland' India, north-eastern states are shrouded in mystery. After I made a trip to Imphal, more than one Delhiite asked me, "Wheres's that?"and began raving about headhunters, terrorists and dog-eaters. Educated and illiterate seem alike in their ignorance. National Level Social Science textbooks are virtually blank on this region.

Hi!
Everyone out there whoerver reading my blog. I am Bidyasagar Salam from Manipur. Now, I am doing BA (hons) Political Science in Kirori Mal College. My fellow NEzens know that the studies of NER is not accounted in the syllabus we are studying in India. Our younger generation do not know our history and the events that mould our future.
